MM1 is a powerful directional microphone for focusing on a speaker or a desired sound source up to 25 metres away. It plugs easily into any standard voice recorder or lap-top computer for recording lectures and discussion groups for subsequent review and analysis. MM1 can also be used as an in-car microphone, lapel microphone, or attached to the screen of a laptop computer using the accessories provided.
MM1 contains no batteries and receives power directly from the voice recorder, computer, or loop amplifier. Some devices you can plug the MM1 into directly-try it and see first. If not then use either the USB Sound card for laptops or the Adapter Cable for smartphones to connect.
Attach microphone to a suitable socket (USB Sound card, Laptop, phone, tablets, and induction loops)
Attach to the tabletop stand if the MM1 is to be used as a free-standing microphone or attach to clothing using the clips provided.

Charging your 10,000mAh Portable Power Card
1.Use the white USB to Micro-USB/USB-C charging cable to charge the device.
2.Insert the Micro-USB plug into the power card socket and the USB plug into either a wall-socket a smartphone or iPhone charger or laptop.
3.Upon connection, a flashing blue light will indicate the portable card is charging.
4.When fully charged, a solid blue light will show. For a full charge from empty, please allow 3-4 hours.
Charging instructions
1.Plug the USB cable into the Power Card.
2. For Android devices plug the micro USB/USB-C plug into the phone or tablet.
3. For Apple devices use the lightning connector for iPhone or iPad.
4.Charging will automatically start upon connection. A solid row of blue lights will indicate charging is taking place. As the Power Card charge reduces the number of blue lights on the charge status indicator reduces until the Power Card is completely depleted.
5.If no blue LED light shows and the phone or tablet does not indicate that it is charging, the Power Card has no residual charge and must be recharged
Connect earphones and microphone at the same time to your smartphone or laptop
Plug the microphone (MM1) into the grey socket of the adaptor cable and then plug the adapter into the device you are using.
Some smartphones no longer have a headset jack so you can use this cable with the new smartphone connector cables below.

If you want to use a set of earphones, please use the white socket on the adapter cable so you can record, and playback, or where the app allows, listen and record at the same time.
If you are using an induction loop, please plug this into the white socket as well.
Connect headphones and microphone to your computer or laptop
Plug the sound card into your USB socket in the laptop and then connect your microphone to the yellow socket and/or earphones in the green socket.
NB: No longer supplied if New Smartphone connector cables in kit.
Connect your microphone to a smartphone using USB-c or Apple lightning connector
Android devices
Use the black jack socket to USB-c plug cable with the Adapter Cable and microphone supplied
iOS devices
Use the small USB-c socket to iOS lightning connector with the black cable to plug into an iOS device
Connect a wireless microphone to your smartphone or laptop
Charge the wireless microphone with the charger supplied.
Switch on transmitter and receiver and wait for them to pair.
Place microphone close to the sound source and plug receiver into smartphone using the green socket on the connector cable or directly into laptop.
